I keep getting prompts to register my product when using or starting up Solidworks student edition 2008 - 2009. However when i attempt to enter my serial number online, in the customer portal, it simply says that it is invalid and not recognisable.
I don't know if it's because us student users cannot actually register for support, or if for some reason mine just doesn't work.

I'd be greatful if someone could help.

I had the exact same problem... I'm really thankful that this forum exists, or else, I'd be nowhere :S

Hi Dosidal,

I found some similar issues, but unfortunately not the reason for it sad.gif The solution, in all cases, was to contact
the solidworks customer center to double check the Serialnumber and seat ID. To do so please use
the following form or contact studentsupport directly.
They will need the Student Edition Personal Computer ID that is generated when the software is installed. The PC ID
also appears on the SolidWorks Student Edition Registration screen when the software is first started.
Also helpful will be to attach a screenshot of the error message.

Hope this helps wink.gif
