is it possible to have seating foam and properties in materials.i have been making the frame drawings for my mill but could realy do with being able to add foam specs for my suppliers.

Hi Sheldon,
Yes its possible to add a sprecific foam as long as you know the details. You cannot add custom materials to the SolidWorks materials library.
You must create a new database before creating custom materials. Refer SolidWorks Help to know how a new material database can be created.
Search for: material properties- Applying, Creating, and Editing Materials/ To create a new database for custom materials.
When you create a material, you derive the properties from a baseline material, then change the properties as necessary to create a different material. For a baseline material, use a material (either a SolidWorks default material or a previously-created custom material) that has similar physical properties to the material you want to create.
